Panoramic Frames

Panoramic photography is a photography technique used to create wide formatted photos. The technique works by stitching together multiple images from the same camera to form a single panoramic image. In today’s digital world, smartphone cameras make taking the perfect panoramic picture easier than ever for Apple and Android users. However, it’s framing these idyllic masterpieces that is the difficult part as custom panoramic framing can be very expensive. Here at Beaver Frames, we’ve got you covered. We offer a catalogue of equally affordable and luxurious panoramic frames to match any commercial, institutional, or residential need.

Panoramic Photography

Whether used for home decor purposes or as a piece of commercial artwork, ultra-wide perspective photographs encased in polished framing create a striking centrepiece in any setting.

Wide-format photography is especially useful for landscape and architectural photographers. It can capture the lustre and allure of exotic locations, cityscapes and skylines. Panoramic photography of landmarks can define an area and add an atmospheric ambience to schools, offices and any other commercial buildings.

Our unique slim and elongated frames renders are ideal for professional photographs, directional signage and artwork. They are commonly employed in public areas with high levels of foot traffic including schools, retail spaces, commercial buildings and medical surgeries.

We have a fantastic range of wooden frames for panoramic photos including 8x24, 6x18 and 5x10 inches available in a range of colours, including Black, Silver, White, Shabby Chic, Grey and of course our great Solid Oak frames.

FAQs

What is the aspect ratio of a panoramic photo?

Panoramic photos are twice as wide as they are high and thus have an aspect ratio of 2:1.

What is the best lens for panoramic photography?

The beauty behind panoramic photographs is the sheer amount of detail that is visible when viewing the image. This makes wide-angle lenses redundant. Instead, we recommend using a standard 50mm lens to capture the perfect panoramic image.

How do you take a panoramic photo on your phone?

Apple and Android users will be delighted to know that the majority of smartphones have a panoramic mode built into the camera. To take a panoramic photo on your phone, begin by opening the camera and placing it into pano mode. Then hold the phone vertically or horizontally and press the shutter button. This will start capturing the panoramic photo. After that, slowly and steadily slide your phone to capture the scene and once again hit the shutter button to save the photo.

If your phone camera does not have a built-in panoramic mode, then do not worry as there are a multitude of apps available to download.
